The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Jordan Design and Development Bureau, held an awareness workshop at the ministry's center on artificial intelligence (AI) and the ethical and responsible use of its technologies. This workshop was attended by senior and supervisory-level employees, as well as IT-related staff.

This workshop aligns with the national project led by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, which aims to raise awareness and build the capacities of public sector employees in AI, with a target of training 15,000 government employees by the end of 2027. This initiative supports Jordan's national AI strategy and its implementation plan for 2023–2027, following the economic modernization vision aimed at achieving goals related to AI's role in enhancing public services, decision-making, and predictive analytics.

Organized by the Human Resources and Institutional Development Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the workshop sought to enable government leaders to gain a deeper understanding of AI applications and their impact on improving government performance. The workshop program covered AI applications, the importance of data, and the safe and responsible uses of AI technologies.

This awareness workshop is in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's commitment to using optimal methods for analyzing students' academic data and identifying areas for specialization improvement to better align with labor market needs and serve society.
