The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research won first place in the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency for the ninth cycle (2023/2024) in the small and medium ministries category. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, received the first-place award from His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, may God protect him, during the ceremony held today under the royal patronage.

The ministry achieved this accomplishment due to the tremendous efforts of all its employees, supported by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, and the Secretary-General of the ministry, Dr. Mamoun Al-Debie, in adopting best practices for developing its internal systems, enhancing its operations and electronic services to facilitate citizens, committing to modernization and development, and applying the best standards in planning, implementation, and transformation according to the Jordanian excellence model. This was done to fulfill the goal of the award and the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, may God protect him, in creating a qualitative shift and development in the performance of ministries and government institutions in serving citizens and enhancing their competitiveness.
