The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the launch of the “International Students Reciter” competition for the recitation and Tajweed of the Holy Qur’an, Fourth Cycle (2026).

Competition Details:

• Anyone wishing to participate in this competition must be a non-Jordanian student (international student) enrolled in one of the higher education institutions in Jordan (not dismissed, withdrawn, or deferred), regardless of major, program, or degree.

• The student must not have achieved any of the first three positions if he/she had participated in the competition in previous years.

• All students wishing to participate in this competition must submit an application and fill out the registration form through the following link no later than the end of working hours on Monday, 23-2-2026.

• The expected period for holding the competition will be during the blessed month of Ramadan (2026).

• The competition is recitation (reading, not memorization). The evaluation criteria will be as follows: (rules of Tajweed, beauty of voice, Maqamat, overall impression and personality).

• The judging committee consists of specialists and experienced individuals in local and international Holy Qur’an competitions in the fields of (Tajweed, recitation, and Maqamat) from Jordanian universities and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites.

• A monetary prize will be allocated to the students who win the first three positions, to be determined later.
