Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the board of the Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund Dr. Muhammad Abu Qudais on Thursday signed agreements to fund (27) research projects and (4) innovative projects submitted by (10) different universities, institutions and research centers, with a total financial support of (1,429,739) million JD to be funded by the Fund.

Abu Qudais stressed the crucial role of the Fund in supporting the scientific research process, through directing financial support to projects that have an applied and innovative dimension, so as to respond to the emerging challenges at the national level. Which, in turn, leads to entrepreneurship and enhancing the contribution to the sustainable development.

He also reiterated that these agreement signing came as a result of creating the proper legislative environment governing the Fund's work, through approving and publishing instructions aligned with the Fund's new role in supporting research and applied projects,  as well as  innovative and pioneering projects. Adding that this the first time the Fund supports (4) innovative projects at once. 

Secretary-General of the Ministry and Deputy Chairman of the Fund’s board Dr. Mamoun Al-Debi'e, presidents of a number of public and private Jordanian universities, and representatives of the Royal Scientific Society and the National Agricultural Research Center attended the meeting.
