In cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Jordan Tourism Board, Jordan participates in the MEETES Education and Training Exhibition held in the city of Jeddah.
The activities of the Education and Training Exhibition specializing in educational tourism were launched in the city of Jeddah in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The exhibition, organized by Icon International for Exhibition Organization at the Jeddah Center for Exhibitions and Events, lasted for three days. Jordan is participating in this exhibition through a special pavilion prepared by the Jordan Tourism Board in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the title “Study in Jordan.” In addition, there are other pavilions for several Jordanian public and private universities and colleges, as well as a number of academies and colleges specialized in aviation and aircraft studies. The Jordanian Consul General in Jeddah, Ambassador Mohammad Hmeid, visited the exhibition and toured all the pavilions of the Jordanian universities and colleges participating in it.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research maintains a strategic partnership with the Jordan Tourism Board, which exerts tremendous efforts to support educational tourism in the Kingdom. Jordan’s participation in this exhibition comes as part of the implementation of the executive plan of the Strategy for Attracting International Students to Study at Higher Education Institutions in Jordan for the years (2023–2027), prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation and coordination with its strategic partner, the Jordan Tourism Board, and approved by the Council of Ministers. The strategy aims to enhance educational tourism in the Kingdom and increase the attraction of international students to study at Jordanian higher education institutions. The Ministry and Jordanian universities have participated, and will continue to participate, in a number of other exhibitions to be held in several countries during 2025.
The exhibition witnessed a large turnout of students and their families in general, and particularly at the pavilions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Jordan Tourism Board, and the participating universities.
