
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the premises of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, an awareness workshop was held on national integrity and transparency standards and the concept of corruption, with the aim of raising awareness among employees about national integrity and transparency standards, clarifying the concept of corruption, its forms, and ways to prevent and reduce it.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Kamal Al-Assaf, the representative of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of a number of ministry employees from various administrative levels, including middle management positions, specialized roles, and supporting administrative and professional roles.
The workshop, organized by the Directorate of Human Resources and Institutional Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is the first phase of awareness lectures planned by the commission.
This initiative is part of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission’s fieldwork plan in the public sector to raise public sector employees' awareness about national integrity and transparency standards, clarify the concept of corruption, its forms, and ways to prevent and reduce it.
The workshop also included a presentation of the mission of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, its working mechanism, and examples of cases submitted to it and how they were addressed in this context.
At the end of the workshop, the floor was opened for discussion, allowing attendees to ask questions to Dr. Al-Assaf, who answered all inquiries raised by the audience. It is worth mentioning that additional awareness workshops will be held in the future.
